FALMOUTH, Mass. — Sergei Anisimov, Crewz Berry, Josh Malone and Colby Audette each had a pair of goals as the L/A Nordiques defeated the Cape Cod Islanders 10-1 Sunday afternoon in NA3HL junior hockey action.
The win is the Nordiques’ 13th in a row.
Anisimov also finished the game with 39 penalty minutes as he had slashing and contact-to-the-head penalties that resulted in a five-minute major and a game misconduct with a little more than 15 minutes remaining in the game. He also received a checking-from-behind call in the first period that resulted in a minor penalty and a 10-minute misconduct.
Josh Sanchez had 25 minutes worth of penalties, getting called for five minutes for fighting and a game misconduct. He dropped the gloves with Cape Cod’s Scotty Hogan.
Hans Watson and Sam Frechette each had a goal and an assist in the victory. Hunter Raye made 13 saves in net for the Nordiques.
Cole Therrien, who started the season with the Twin City Thunder, scored the only Islanders’ goal.
