Methodists plan Christmas concert
AUBURN — Auburn United Methodist’s annual Christmas concert will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Church located at 439 Park Ave.
The free concert will feature the Wesleyan Singers, The Park Avenue Pickers and the Auburn Bell Ringers, as well as several local soloists and musicians.
Refreshments of desserts, coffee, punch and cookies will be offered at the conclusion of the concert. Seating is on a first come first seated basis.
Hall to hold holiday festivities
VIENNA — The Vienna Union Hall will present the sixth annual Winter Revels at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. This celebration of winter and the holidays features performances by local groups; Northfield, an early music a cappella singing ensemble; and Portland magician Peter Boie.
A festive food table will add to the cheer. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 children 12 and younger.

Baptist church ‘Messiah’ production
FARMINGTON — Farmington Baptist Church will present “What A Glorious Night to Meet the Messiah!”
Isaac, a young shepherd, is searching to understand the coming Messiah. He speaks to his father and to the Rabbi to try to learn when the Messiah might come. He meets Mary and Joseph on the road and the Magi when they stay at his house. He comes to understand that the Messiah has come in an unexpected way.
Performances will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1, and at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at 194 Whittier Road.
Festival of Trees at Johnson Hall
GARDINER — Johnson Hall will hold its second annual Festival of Trees event in downtown Gardiner from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 30; and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 1. There will be approximately 30 trees, all decorated by local donors, plus items on, around and under the trees.
Viewing the trees is free to the public. Those who would like a chance to win a tree can purchase raffle tickets.
