FARMINGTON — Franklin County Animal Shelter is featuring Dixie and Neko as its Pets of the Week.
Dixie is a 2-year-old female tick hound mix. She loves to run and play, and loves to snuggle when she gets tired. She even tries to keep her kennel clean at the shelter.
Neko is a 1- to 3-year-old male. He is a laid-back cat, looking for a home where he can curl up on the couch and sleep. He is loving and curious and might seem shy at first.
People may visit Dixie, Neko and other pets from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays at 550 Industry Road.
Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also finds homes for barn cats, livestock and other pets.
