NAPLES — Two people were arrested Monday evening on drug and weapon charges after their vehicle was searched on River Road, according to a news release from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Jason Dailey, 36, and Taylor Bell, 26, both of Naples, were each charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs with a firearm, possession of schedule W drugs and possession of more than 200 milligrams of fentanyl. Bell was also charged with operating after license suspension.

In the vehicle, which was operating in a suspicious manner, deputies found a 9 mm handgun, 15 grams of heroin and fentanyl packaged for sale, and $7,500 in cash. 

Bell and Dailey were taken to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland. Dailey was released on a $5,000 cash bail and Bell on $2,500 cash bail.
