PARIS — Cherri Crockett of Bethel defeated Democrat Thomas Williams of Mexico in the race for Oxford County register of deeds.

Crockett, a Republican, had 14,181 votes compared to 8,964 for Williams, with Albany Township and Lincoln and Magalloway plantations results still outstanding. 

Outgoing Register of Deeds Pat Shearman is retiring at the end of the year.
