LEWISTON — The Maine Music Society will host its 25th Battle of the Blends at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at The Dolard & Priscilla Gendron Franco Center at 46 Cedar St.
Talented a cappella singing groups from around New England will present their energetic vocal renditions of jazz, barbershop, pop, rock ‘n’ roll and Renaissance music.
The evening will feature seven groups: Crosstones from Bates College in Lewiston, Fermata NoWhere from Edward Little High School in Auburn, the Maine Music Society Chamber Singers, the Meddiebempsters of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, None of the Above from Boston, the women’s barbershop Royal River Chorus from Yarmouth, and Vocal Solution from Waterford.
Tickets are $25 for reserved seating; $12 for children under 12; and group rates of 10 percent off groups of 10 or more when purchased together. There is a handling fee of $2 per ticket. For more information visit www.mainemusicsociety.org.
