AUBURN — Maine Oxy recently raised a record-breaking $20,000 at its annual charity golf tournament Sept. 15 to benefit The Travis Mills Foundation.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization formed to benefit and assist wounded and injured veterans and their families. In June 2017, the foundation opened its national retreat center in Rome, where veterans and their families come from all over the country to spend a week of rest, relaxation and reflection. It costs about $1,000 a person to attend for a week.
To date, Maine Oxy has donated more than $30,000 to the Travis Mills Foundation.
Founded in Auburn, Maine Oxy has expanded to a company with multiple sales and manufacturing locations, and operates 16 locations in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Vermont, and three in Canada.
