LEWISTON — The Oasis of Music continues this Wednesday, Oct. 24, with the Good Enough Band, performing from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at Trinity Church, 247 Bates St.
This concert will be presented by clients and staff of the Wooster Hill day program for adults with disabilities in Rome. Their mission is to help create a world where all people are perceived and acknowledged by themselves and others as being contributing members of society.
Director Stan Davis shares: “One of our program’s activities is our sing-along choir. We present participatory music events for residents of nursing homes, for people with disabilities, and for all audiences. We have called ourselves the Good Enough Band, from our belief that music is a human birthright and that everyone can participate in it. Our music programs present familiar songs and encourage our audiences to join us in song. We invite one and all to a half-hour of joyous singing on October 24!”
Admission is free, with donations accepted. FMI: 207-344-3106.
