LEWISTON — Public invited to share input to community discussion about what kind of superintendent is needed for Lewiston Public Schools, 7-8 p.m. at Green Ladle. Community discussion is part of the superintendent search to name a successor to retiring Superintendent Bill Webster. 

TUESDAY, Oct. 23

AUBURN — Public presentation and discussion on Mayor Jason Levesque’s trade trip to China, noon and 7 p.m. at the Auburn Public Library. 

AUBURN — Public meeting to discuss improvements to Mill, Main and Broad streets, 6 p.m. at Rolly’s Diner, 87 Mill St. Work will include roadway and intersection improvements with new pavement, drainage, curbing, sidewalk improvements, lighting and landscaping. City officials will be present to discuss preliminary recommendations for the project, listen to concerns, receive comments and answer questions.

LEWISTON — Lights On Afterschool celebration, 3-6 p.m. at New Beginnings, 134 College St., part of a national event to call attention to how after school programs help Lewiston students and families, celebration features free community dinner, pumpkin decorating, face painting, STEM activities, information about after school programs in Lewiston schools. Free, public welcome.

LEWISTON — Benefit breakfast for the family of Lewiston High School teacher Erica Gosselin, the mother of two (including a newborn) who lost her husband, Seth, in July. Breakfast from 8-10 a.m. at Green Ladle, across from Lewiston High School. Tickets sold at door, $15.

LEWISTON-AUBURN — Free medicine disposal day. Public is invited to bring expired, unwanted or unused medications to ensure prescriptions do not contribute to drug abuse. Bring medications from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to Lewiston High School or Bedard Pharmacy, 359 Minot Ave., Auburn. Sponsored by Healthy Androscoggin, police departments and others.
