LEWISTON — Pedro O’Hara’s is having another full weekend of live music.
Maine singer and songwriter Chad Porter will perform from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday. Porter spent much of his youth living at Opportunity Farm for Boys, a residential family-style home for at-risk youth in New Gloucester. It was there, with the help of life-changing mentors, that Porter picked up his first guitar and discovered his talent and love for music.
Porter’s life has been about playing and creating music ever since. With 10-plus years of live shows under his belt, his stage presence, vocal prowess and ability to connect with his audience are unwavering. His live shows are a combination of the hundreds of unbelievable cover songs he draws from and his own catchy original songs. Porter’s range is almost unmatched in today’s music scene. Listeners might hear a Ray Lamontagne song, then a Ceelo Green song, and then a Blake Shelton song and find it impossible to decide which he does best.
On Saturday, modern country band Bottoms Up will play from 8 p.m. to midnight. The band is made up of former members of The Whiskey Militia and includes Chad Porter, vocals; Norm Albert, guitar; David Perreault, bass; and Glenn Foss, drums. They are known for their high-energy covers of artists like Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Cole Swindell and Eric Church, and many more.
The is no cover charge for either show. FMI: 207-783-6200.
Chad Porter will perform at Pedro’s in Lewiston Friday night.
