Conservative, progressive, liberal, moderate, independent — I am tired of labels. Maine needs a governor who is forward-thinking with solid Maine values — values rooted in history; someone who can wrap her head around the need for economic growth, health care for every Mainer, an educational system that is both excellent and affordable; an infrastructure that includes not only highways and bridges but broadband.

Maine needs a governor who will address the opioid crisis and Maine’s increasing homelessness and the need for affordable housing. The next governor also needs to address the most important issue of this time — the environment.

Only one candidate has the ability and commitment to tackle Maine’s problems and bring Mainers together. That leader is Janet Mills. 

Mills loves Maine, loves its people. She is both tough and compassionate. With Janet Mills as governor, Mainers will once again be proud to proclaim the state motto — “Dirigo.”
