My husband, Bob Mennealy, and I were saddened to return from a long Columbus Day weekend to find our mailbox filled with propaganda from Eric Brakey and Ellie Espling. Espling is trying to win Brakey’s seat in the Maine Senate, while Brakey is attempting to unseat Angus King in the U.S. Senate.

We are registered Democrats, but always vote for the best candidate, and we will continue to do so this year, voting for the independent Angus King for the U.S. Senate, Ned Claxton for the Maine Senate and Jarod Golden for the U.S. House of Representatives. Golden is a true patriot and a veteran of two combat tours
