LEWISTON — Five of Maine’s funniest up-and-coming comedians will perform a night of stand-up comedy at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at The Dolard and Priscilla Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar St.

Join Lewiston comedian Dawn Hartill as she hosts the Fall Comedy Showcase with a night of stand-up comedy featuring Brian Brinegar, Ian Clark, Julie Poulin and Leonard Kimble.

Hartill is the 2016 winner of the Strand Cup Comedy Competition and was a finalist in The Last Comic Laughing Competition. She works for a local bank and also works for Maine’s Big Z.

Brian Brinegar is the three-time winner of Maine’s Best Comedian by the Portland Phoenix readers. He was featured on the Comedy Time Network and has performed at the world famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles, the Ice House in Pasadena and played the bartender in Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar” music video.

Ian Clark is a central Maine native who graduated from Skowhegan High School and lives in Concord, New Hampshire. He was voted New Hampshire’s Best New Comic in 2015 and has performed at Improv Boston, The Comedy Studio, Dick Doherty’s Comedy Den and Headliners Comedy Club.

Monmouth’s Julie Poulin made it to the semi-finals of a recent contest in Portland. She’s also part of the hugely successful Mystery for Hire and Mainely Improv troupes. Chicago native Leonard Kimble, who now lives in Auburn with his family, is a brilliant up-and-coming comedian and will also perform.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or in advance at 207-783-1585 or at FroancoCenter.org. Box office hours are from noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Franco Center is handicap accessible and is on the corner of Cedar and Oxford streets in the “Little Canada” section of Lewiston, just across the Bernard Lown Peace Bridge from New Auburn.
