LEWISTON — Construction is underway at Aero Air Park on a $750,000 expansion to triple its space in the Lewiston Mall.

The expansion will add 3,089 square feet for laser tag and a 2,702-square-foot arcade, along with a climbing wall, zip line, battle beam, ninja course and indoor playground.

“It will be huge,” owner Tom Zhang said. “We wanted to have more entertainment in the park, instead of just the jumping area. We want to expand and bring more people in, make it bigger, make it more fun.”

Aero Air Park opened in January 2016 as a trampoline park.

Zhang said when a neighboring call center and gym left the mall, it felt like a good time for the 28,000-square-foot expansion. He said he anticipates the business hosting a lot of kids’ parties.

The expanded park is expected to open in December, with the trampoline space staying open during construction.

Zhang now employs 12, which may double when the expanded space opens.
