A convoy of trucks carrying a Lockheed L-1649A “Super Star”Constellation turns off  Kittyhawk Avenue onto Route 202 in Auburn on Tuesday afternoon. The fuselage, tail and four engines are heading to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to become a cocktail lounge at the TWA Hotel complex. Truck driver Matt Beaty said he will be back to pick up the plane’s wings once they are disassembled. The one remaining Constellation at the Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport in Auburn is ready to be shipped to Germany, where employees of Lufthansa will continue to restore the airplane. Bob Forman of Naples drove his 1957 Ford Thunderbird to the Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport in Auburn on Tuesday to see the Lockheed L-1649A “Super Star”Constellation before it was hauled by trucks to John F.
