The contest for governor in Maine could not be more important. Janet Mills has expertly served as a county attorney, a legislator and as Maine’s attorney general.

Mills is pro-education. While Shawn Moody may have expertly run several body shops, he has reportedly stated that Maine schools are overfunded. Maine voters have voted for increased funding for education and health care in referendums. Republicans have opposed both ideas.

The choice is obvious — Janet Mills — for the sake of the children. Maine does not need any more divisiveness from a governor, or four more.years of another Paul LePage type. Maine needs a leader who looks forward rather than taking steps backward.

I support Janet Mills. The children are this state’s most important infrastructure.
