Norway Legion to meet
NORWAY — Meetings at the Norway Legion are held at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month.
Coffee hour will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays with desserts. All are welcome.
October stargazing night scheduled
NORWAY — A monthly stagazing night will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, or Saturday, Oct. 6, depending on when skies are clear, to observe Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and other deep sky objects at the corner of Yagger and Town Farm Roads.
Observatory volunteers will show visitors Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and, with no moon out, be able to easily observe deep sky objects.
Due to Twitchell Observatory moving, and to the condition of the road into the former Observatory site, participants will meet at different locations until the Observatory is in its new home at Robert’s Farm Preserve in Norway.

Church hosting Family Fun Day
LIVERMORE FALLS — Emmanuel Assembly of God, 4 Fayette Road, is hosting its fourth fourth annual Family Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.
There will be a bounce house, cotton candy, carnival games, lunch and much more. The event is free.
Tractor pull in Andover
ANDOVER — The Maine Antique Tractor Club will host a tractor pull on Saturdaty, Oct. 6, at the Grimaldi Field in Andover beginning at 10 a.m.
The previously scheduled event on Olde Home Day was rained out.
New Kids’ Korner hours
PARIS – The Kids’ Korner located at the First Universalist Church of West Paris, 208 Main St., has new hours effective Oct. 6. It will be open the first and third Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A free service for area communities, Kids’ Korner collects and donates new and gently used clothing for infants and toddlers. Donations of boys and girls toddler sizes 2T and 5T are needed.

Eagles to host Texas hold ’em
RUMFORD — Fraternal Order of Eagles host Texas hold ’em poker tournaments on the second Thursday of each month.
Doors will open at 4 p.m. Games will start at 6 p.m. There will be a $50 buy-in with a $5 high hand as well as a 50/50 raffle. The kitchen will be open from 4 to 6 p.m.

Bowling Pin shoot in Paris
PARIS — Norway/Paris Fish & Game is hosting a Bowling Pin Shoot at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, on the Buckfield Road.
The cost is $5, and attendees may shoot as many times as they would like. This is a timed event, and the pins are 25 feet away; shoot until all pins are off the table.
