I am voting for Janet Mills because she shares some of my most deeply held values. She has worked successfully for the people of Maine and will continue to do so.

Mills will work for the state to provide excellent public education — the best way to work out of poverty, as reported recently in The Washington Post. Education begins at home and continues to preschool through high school. Mills would like to see that post secondary education is affordable for all, not just the wealthy.

She is an advocate for clean, renewable energy. That has become a significant source of employment and job creation. It is also a necessity as a way to combat climate change.

Affordable health care is critical for everyone. Maine cannot have a strong state or economy without healthy people.

I look forward to having Janet Mills as Maine’s next governor.
