LEWISTON — John D. Wyman, 75, formerly of Mexico, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Rumford on Jan. 17, 1943, a son of John W. and Rita H. (McPhee) Wyman.

John was educated in Mexico schools and was a graduate of Mexico High School.

He was employed with Hudson Wire as V.P. of production for the Inman, South Carolina, plant.

John was a Communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and most of all spending time with his grandkids.

Surviving are his wife, Diane Wyman, of St. Louis, Mo., sons Scott J. Wyman and wife, Allison, of Monmouth, Michael P. Wyman and wife, Melissa, of St. Louis, Mo., sister Jean Wyman of Monmouth, brothers James Wyman of St. Albans, Vt., Jerome Wyman and wife, Paula, of San Diego, Calif., grandchildren Quinn Wyman, John “Jack” Wyman and Sarah Wyman.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Jeffrey Wyman.

There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Parish of the Holy Savior. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. If so desired, contributions in John’s memory may be made to Androscoggin Hospice, 15 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston, ME 04240.
