LEWISTON — Therese M. Morin, 87, of Lewiston passed away at Russell Park Manor on Friday, Sept. 21, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in St. Agathe on May 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Ernest and Emma (Colin) Martin. Her mother died when Therese was very young and Therese moved to Lewiston when she in her teens.
On July 21, 1951, she married the love of her life, Ralph Morin, at St. Mary’s Church in Lewiston. Together, they worked and raised their young family in Lewiston. They were happily married for the past 67 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Holy Family Church and was a past member of “Les Dames de St. Anne.”
During her working career, she worked at several places, including P&G TamBrands as a combine operator for 15 years. In retirement she and Ralph enjoyed wintering in Florida. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed playing cards, eating lobster and watching old classic movies, especially westerns such as “Gunsmoke” and “Bonanza,” and of course “The Golden Girls.” She mostly loved being a homemaker to her children and grandchildren.
Therese is survived by her husband, Ralph Morin, of Lewiston, two children, Susan Stone and husband, Bob, of Auburn, Barry Morin and wife, Nancy, of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Marni (Stone) and husband, Scott Spewock, Haley (Stone) and husband, Ryan Bernier, Peter Stone, Shane Morin; six great-grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Piper, Barrett, Ryder and Max; one sister, Viola McLaughlin; and one stepsister, Hilda Foss.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by two infant daughters, Donna and Julie; four brothers, Luc, Donat, Alcide and Lido; and two sisters, Priscille and Edna.
The family would like to thank the staff at Russell Park Manor for the excellent love and care they showed Therese during her time there.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at The Fortin Group Funeral Home in Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Holy Family Church, Lewiston. Committal will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
