DEAR SUN SPOTS: In response to the Sept. 20 Sun Spots, Cole Farms (64 Lewiston Rd. in Gray) has a delicious prime rib that is available on the weekends. It’s worth a try.

— Louise, Auburn

DEAR SUN SPOTS: This is about the person looking for good prime rib. Village Inn in Auburn has a great prime rib and from what I hear, the Alabama BBQ Pit in Lewiston has a good one as well.

— Linda, no town

ANSWER: I haven’t had a meal at the Village Inn (165 High St., Auburn) in years but I remember it as always being delicious and a wonderful place to take the family. Thank you for the tip; I’m going to make a reservation!

Readers, where do you go when you want a tasty prime rib dinner?

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I don’t know where else to turn. I saw an ad on TV for Dermasuction and ordered one on Aug. 19. I haven’t heard a thing. About a week after I ordered it, a woman called and said they were giving me earrings and a necklace. I told her I don’t want it. I haven’t seen the ad again. Can you please look into it?

— No name, no town

ANSWER: If you ordered from a toll-free number that was provided in a commercial that you saw on TV, or if you ordered directly from one of the  product-devoted websites, you can contact the company that sells Dermasuction, a skin-care aid, at Telebrands Customer Care, 79 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ 07004 or call 1-855-668-1655 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to midnight, and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

You can also track your order status online at GetOrderStatus.com by just entering your phone number. According to the company’s website, your satisfaction is 100 percent guaranteed.

As far as ordering items from a TV infomercial goes, it’s tempting, but please try not to do it. Sometimes when I’m watching TV or scrolling on the internet, I think, “Ooh that looks awesome; I want that.” When I do succumb to ordering some gizmo that I think I need, without an exception, I suffer buyer’s remorse afterward.

Not only have I discovered that I don’t really need the gizmo, but that you can find many of these items in the “As Seen on TV” aisles at the local Walmart or Target.

I’m not sure how the telephoned jewelry offer fits in with Dermasuction. Did the woman who called say she was from Telebrands? Whenever anyone calls offering you something, absolutely do not ever give them any of your personal financial information, whatever you do. There are literally thousands of scams out in the universe and you don’t want to be their next victim. It’s perfectly fine to hang up!

One more thing I want to add is that if you have paid for this item and, after calling customer service, the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can call the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. You can reach the bureau that serves Maine at 508-652-4800 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also email the office through its website at bbb.org/en/us/bbb-directory/me. You can also call your financial institution or credit card company and let them know you want to stop payment.
