LEWISTON — Bilal Hersi scored four times as the Lewiston boys’ soccer team eased to a 7-0 victory at home against Camden Hills on Saturday.

Hersi paced the Blue Devils (6-0-1) and received help from Suab Nur, Cooper Millett and Jama Mohamed, who scored a goal apiece. Joel Musese, Abdiraham Daud and Enock Citenga all tallied assists for the Blue Devils.

Camden Hills (3-3-0) goalkeeper Matt Kremin made eight saves, while Dido Lumu made three in the win.

Buckfield 11, Vinalhaven 3

BUCKFIELD — Buckfield scored five times in the first half and six more in the second for an 11-3 boys’ soccer win over Vinalhaven on Saturday.

Paced by Victor Verrill and Risk Kraske with three goals a piece, Buckfield (5-2-1) scored early and often in the win. Noah Wiley also scored a pair of goals.

Vinalhaven (1-4) was paced by MJ Augusto, who scored two goals. Trenton Alley also pitched in with a goal.

Dirigo 2, Spruce Mountain 1

RUMFORD — Dirigo scored twice in the first half and that was enough for a 2-1 win over Spruce Mountain in boys’ soccer action Saturday.

Drew Collins and Mateo LaPointe each scored for Dirigo (1-5), which earned its first win of the season. Goalkeeper Loegan Hodgkins made 10 saves in the win.

Spruce Mountain (1-5) scored in the second half when Owen Bryant found the back of the net. Goalkeeper Jacob Bryant saved nine shots for the Phoenix.

Gray-NG 2, Wells 0

GRAY — Andrew LaCerda scored twice in the first half, and the Patriots (2-4-1) didn’t allow a shot on goal in a boy’s soccer victory over the Warriors (0-7) on Saturday.

Gavyn Leighton recorded 17 saves for Wells.

Monmouth 2, Wiscasset 0

MONMOUTH — Hayden Fletcher netted a pair of goals to lead Monmouth Academy to a 2-0 victory over Wiscasset in boys’ soccer action Saturday afternoon.

Corey Armstrong, Jacob Godbout and Ben Brooks played solid on defense, limiting the Wolverines to four shots.

Caleb Gabriele made 15 saves for Wiscasset, while Connor Davies and Brock Bates each stopped two shots for Monmouth.

NYA 4, St. Dom’s 1

AUBURN — Chas Rohde scored 18 minutes into the game to start the Panthers (7-0) on their way to a 4-1 boys’ soccer win over the Saints (3-3-1) on Saturday.

Cam Goodrich made it 2-0 later in the first half, and Ryan Baker and Stefan Kulhanek added second-half goals.

St. Dom’s got on the board in the 48th minute on a goal from Gaston Fuksa.

Yarmouth 6, Poland 0

POLAND — Eric LaBrie set up the first two goals of the game and scored the fourth, as Yarmouth (7-0-1) extended its undefeated streak to 37 games with a victory over the Knights (1-5) on Saturday.

Jason Lainey opened the scoring seven minutes into the game, taking a pass from LaBrie for a low drive through a crowd. Ian LaBrie scored six minutes later, and Aidan Hickey made the halftime lead 3-0 with a header off Jack Romano’s cross.

Eric LaBrie opened the second half with his goal before Owen Bohrmann and Jack Jones netted the final two. Lainey, Bohrmann and Jones also had assists.

Aaron Belesca recorded a single save for the Clippers, and Davin Cloutier had 10 for Poland.

Girls’ soccer

Buckfield 11, Vinalhaven 0

BUCKFIELD — Molly Bourget notched a hat trick to lead Buckfield to an 11-0 rout over Vinalhaven in girls’ soccer action Saturday afternoon.

Sami Patenaude, Hannah Shields and Grace Chapman each scored two goals for Buckfield (4-3-1).

Goalie Jazmyn Robishaw made 12 saves for the Vikings (0-6), while McKenna Ridlon stopped two to earn the win in net for Buckfield.

Freeport 5, St. Dom’s 1

AUBURN — Catriona Gould scored four goals to power the Falcons (4-2-2) past the Saints (5-2) on Saturday.

Gould sandwiched a pair of goals around one from Allison Greuel as the Falcons connected three times in a 6:53 span, opening a 3-0 lead 12:44 into the game.

Gould made it 4-0 late in the half and added another goal 10 minutes into the second half.

Avery Lutrzykowski converted a penalty kick for St. Dom’s with four minutes left.

Leah Rusiecki made five saves for the Falcons. Hannah Kenney had three saves for the Saints.

Gray-NG 5, Wells 1

GRAY — Alexa Thayer’s two goals led the Patriots (4-3) to a 5-1 girls’ soccer win over the Warriors (1-5) on Saturday.

Jordan Grant, Laurel Thomas and Bri Jordan also scored for Gray-New Gloucester. Eliza Hotham, Izzy Brindley and Abbey Michaud each contributed an assist.

Kenzie Foss put in the Warriors’ goal.

Chelsea Davis and Sydney Rodrigues shared time in goal for the Patriots, with Davis making the sole save. Lauren Bartlett made eight saves for Wells.

Maranacook 2, Leavitt 1

TURNER — Maranacook garnered a 2-1 victory over Leavitt in girls’ soccer action Saturday afternoon.

Leavitt sophomore Leah Maheux scored the first goal with a one-time finish on an assist from Amber Kelly early in the first half.

The Black Bears evened the score with 14:50 left in the first when Emily Harper connected for an unassisted tally. Maranacook received the go-ahead score when a cross bounced off a Leavitt player and deflected into the net for an own goal with 18:30 left in the second half.

Shelby Varney made 15 saves for the Hornets, while Skye Webb stopped 11 shots to earn the win for Maranacook.

Field hockey

Camden Hills 1, Edward Little 0

AUBURN — Charlotte Hood scored the only goal to lift Camden Hills to its first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Edward Little in field hockey action Saturday morning.

The Red Eddies (3-5) were strong on offense but could not get one past goalie Lillia Stone. Edward Little outshot Camden Hills 13-2.

Elise Syphers made a single save for Edward Little, while Stone stopped 13 shots for the Windjammers (1-6-1).

Cony 6, Lewiston 0

AUGUSTA — Faith Leathers-Pouliot and Anna Stolt scored two goals apiece as the Rams rolled to the KVAC field hockey victory over Lewiston on Saturday.

Madison Veilleux and Julia Reny also scored for Cony (7-2). Sophie Whitney had two assists.

Lewiston drops to 2-7.

Gardiner 4, Leavitt 0

TURNER — Maggie Bell scored three goals and Aimee Adams added another as the Tigers won in Turner at Leavitt’s homecoming.

The Tigers (9-0) had 15 shots and Haley Brann had two assists.

Leavitt (4-4) registered one shot on goal.
