BETHEL — Luke Kael Davis, 19, of Bethel joined his best friend, Regan, in heaven on Sunday, Sept. 16.

He was born Dec. 25, 1998, in Lewiston. In his short life he accomplished many things. He graduated from Telstar in 2017 with high honors, and he was president of the National Honor Society, a member of the Student Council, as well as a member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Luke was currently enrolled at The Maine College of Health Professions as a nursing student. Luke will be forever remembered for his quick wit and contagious smile.

Luke, or as family and friends know him, “Dewey,” is survived by his mother, Susan, and stepfather, David Berry, of Newry; sister, Katie Hall, and fiance, Eric Thorpe, of Bethel; close family friend, Kristie Kauf, of Bethel; the loves of his life, his three nieces, Emma, Gabby and Gracie; and dog, Bella; his grandmother, Bernice Davis, of South Paris; two of his closest friends, Sierra Ryerson of Greenwood and India Orino of Albany; and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Luke was predeceased by his grandfathers, Arnold Warner and Earn Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Bethel Alliance Church, followed by a gathering with potluck refreshments at the Bear River Grange in Newry. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a scholarship fund at Telstar in Luke’s honor. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 45 Main St., South Paris.
