LEWISTON — Eva M. Lebel, 84, of Auburn peacefully passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born in Auburn on the family farm Aug. 1, 1934, a daughter of the late Pierre and Angelina (Bosse) Caron. She grew up in the Auburn area and attended local schools there. She was a graduate of Edward Little High School.
After high school, Eva met and eventually married Phil (Conrad) Lebel and they started a family together. She devoted much of her life and time to raising her children and taking care of her family and her home.
She will always be remembered for her love of animals as well as flowers and gardening. She also was very passionate about spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her three loving sons: Larry Lebel of Auburn, Willie Lebel of Lewiston and Raymond Lebel and his companion, Peggy, of Kentucky. She also leaves behind her three sisters: Lillian Latouche of Fredricton, New Brunswick; Theresa Caron of Auburn; and Angie Gauthier of Poland; her granddaughter, Evalynn Lebel, of Poland; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Phil (Conrad), and several siblings.

Visiting hours will be held at Fortin/Auburn on Tuesday Sept. 18, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Liturgy of the Word service will be celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home, followed by committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
