I am writing to express my support for Ned Claxton, who is running for a seat in the Maine state Senate. I have known Claxton for more than 30 years and feel that he would make a superb state senator.
As a physician, two traits he possessed was his willingness to listen and his ability to follow through on decisions. He is a problem solver and, after all, isn’t that what medicine is all about? Shouldn’t that be what government is all about?
I am convinced that if there were more legislators in Augusta with Ned Claxton’s approach to listen to their constituents and to apply facts to proposed legislation, state government would be less divisive and would better serve the people in this state.
