TURNER — Roger M. Thibault 72, of Turner died Friday, Sept. 7, at his home. Roger was born June 27, 1946, in Lewiston to Adelard and Florence (Camire) Thibault, who immigrated from Quebec to Lewiston in the 1940s. Roger attended Lewiston schools and began working at a young age for his father, building many area homes in Lewiston. His hard work ethic continued into his early years, when he began working in the Millwright Union Local 407 with his brothers Dickie, Maurice and Gerry and his father.
He married the love of this life, Rachel Michaud, on Oct. 30, 1965. Roger enjoyed billiards, playing cards, hunting, fishing, archery and, recently, cycling. Roger greatest joy was spending time with family. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events and fishing with them on the pond.
He is preceded by his parents; his sister, Pauline; brothers Jerry, Bob and Maurice; and a brother-in-law, Ronald. He leaves his loving wife, Rachel, and their son, Rodney, and his wife, Geanna; grandchildren Samantha, Ryan and Max. Also his brothers and their wives: Conrad and Sharon, and Richard and Nancy; sisters-in-law Pam Urquhart, Anita Michaud and Pauline and George Baita; his stepmother, Rejane Thibault; and several nieces and nephews with whom he enjoyed spending holidays.
The family would like to thank all the outpouring of support from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association in memory of Roger, or just pay it forward as Roger would have done.
