PARIS — Celebration Barn Theater presents “This is What Happened” hosted by Sally Jones, an evening of true stories from the lives of local storytellers on the theme of change at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. 

In “What Never Changed,” Nancy Hohman discusses her strong connection to animals, especially the horse, that has taken her to places she never expected.

David Richards’ “Reborn on the Fourth of July” reveals how his love of fireworks nearly ended in tragedy but instead led to triumph on mountaintops.

Jenny Adams tells about learning her father’s secret in the final stage of his life in “The Life and Times of Hebe Dotson.”

In “Kelley and the Zip Line,” Kelley McDaniel shares her experiences teaching, reading and ultimately learning to fly.

Janet Compton speaks about a rich and full life that eventually followed a devastating loss in “Returning to Life.”

Jones, a resident of Norway, had a long career as a high school English and drama teacher before retiring from Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Since then, she has remained active in the community, both on and off the stage. This is the fifth season of “This is What Happened,” and the third time it has been presented at Celebration Barn Theater.

Tickets to the show are available for $10. All tickets are general admission; members receive priority seating. Lobby and concessions open at 6:30 p.m. Purchasing tickets in advance is strongly recommended.
