WEST MINOT — Bessie L. Bryant, 92, of West Minot passed away at her home Monday, Aug. 27.
She was born in Minot on Aug. 26, 1926, the daughter of Leonard and Grace Leach Lawrence. She received an associate degree in nursing from Central Maine General Hospital, graduating in 1948. She worked for many years as a registered nurse at CMG, later Central Maine Medical Center.
She loved road trips, berry picking, canning and camping with her husband. Her family was her everything and whenever asked what she wanted for gifts, her answer was always the same: good health and happiness. She was a member of the West Minot Union Church and CMG Alumni Association. She enjoyed gardening, baking, knitting, sewing, birds and traveling to her Florida home in the winter. She also loved Sudoku.
She is survived by her children: Erroll Parker and Laura Mann of Belhaven, N.C., Stanley Parker and wife Hope, of Oxford, N.J., Gard Parker and wife Cindy, of Davenport, Fla., Rodney Bryant and wife Heidi, of Hebron, Judy Theriault and husband Allen, of Mims, Fla., Sandy Child and husband Jim, of Brooksville, Fla. and Robert Bryant and husband Kerry Atwood, of Poland; 15 grandchildren, Cyndi Capallbo, Scott Parker, Steven Parker, Stanley Parker II, Sherry Parker, Tina Clark, Timothy Williams Jr., Owen, Max and Marsha Theriault, Tommy Child, Lauren Scire, Jason and Kevin Bryant and Adam Chabot; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, James; sister, Marjorie Lawrence; brother, Earl Lawrence; and grandson, Kurt Theriault.
