LISBON FALLS — Anne (Nancy) Christine Coty, 77, of Lisbon Falls, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

She was born Dec. 27, 1940, in Portland, a daughter of Lawrence and Mary DeRoche. She attended St. Dominic’s Grammar School and Cathedral High School. In 1972, she married Richard (Dick) Coty in Portland and together they raised six children.

During her career, Nancy worked as a housekeeper for St. Dominic’s parish, a cashier at Paul’s Food Center, and a cook at Koala Care Day Care. Drawing strength from her faith in God, she found inspiration from the Bible and played an active role in her church as a Eucharistic minister and lector.

A unique soul, Nancy had a terrific sense of humor, enjoyed reading mystery novels and completing crossword puzzles. Nancy was fond of hosting friends and family at her home where she would impress all with her passion for cooking. Her generous nature was legendary, especially during her annual Christmas party where all who attended would find a gift under the tree addressed to them from Santa. Her love and dedication for her family was inspiring and the wisdom she offered will be treasured. She will be greatly missed.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Dick Coty of Lisbon Falls; her brother, Lance DeRoche and wife Sue; her children, Jaime Burnham and wife Rebecca Aceto, Rick Burnham and wife Shelley, Joe Burnham and wife Elaine, Theresa Gilliam and husband Steve, Larry Burnham and wife Mindy, Paul Coty and his fiancee Deirdre Lee; her grandchildren, Jamie-Lyn, Renee, Jacqueline, Nicole, Shane, Ricquel, Jessie, Josette, Mariah, Connor, Cheryl, Matt, Andrew, Kianna, Kristi, Sadie, Michale, and Elizebeth “Jaden”; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Hailey, Kayah, Owen, Christian, Ariana, Tavia, Alissa, Wyatt, Logan, Colter, Gunner, Kyran, Aiden, and Winter.
