BETHEL — Team Hailey Hugs, a nonprofit organization devoted to raising awareness of childhood cancer, will hosting a day of food, music, entertainment and fireworks Saturday, Sept. 1, in the Town Common.
Highlights will include:
• An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast;
• Music from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., including local acts and professional recording artists;
• A parade at 11 a.m. through the town of Bethel;
• A live auction and silent auction in the early afternoon with items donated by local businesses and community members;
• Pony rides, clowns, fairies, princesses, hula hoops and poi;
• Food and merchandise vendors;
• Mr Drew and His Animals Too;
• A motorcycle run through scenic western Maine;
• Fire performers at dusk; and
• Fireworks at the Bethel Inn at 9:30 p.m.
Hailey Hugs is a nonprofit charitable organization that champions fundraising and awareness. It awards grants directly to families living with the financial strain of childhood cancer. Hailey Hugs provides funding for everyday expenses in times of crisis, writes grants, presents awards and provides financial relief for families’ everyday expenses associated to childhood cancer treatment.
