HANOVER — Daniel P. Gautreau, 69, of Roxbury, died Aug. 8 doing what he loved most, riding his Harley.
He was born in Rumford on June 21, 1949, a son of Armand and Patricia (McHale) Gautreau.
Danny was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School Class of 1967.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a weapons mechanic from 1968 to 1972.
Danny was a master electrician in the construction business for many years.
Besides riding his Harley, he enjoyed deer and beer, and spending time with loved ones.
Danny also had a passion for music and was very involved in the local music scene.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a former member of the United Bikers of Maine and lobbied for motorcycle rights.
Danny was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting and was a jack of all trades.
Surviving are his children, Daniel McCann of Mexico, Angela Collette of Rumford and Dawn Collette of Mexico; four grandchildren, Tasia McCann, Caden Welch, Brody Chartier and Colton Matthews; and one great-granddaughter, Luna Blodgett.
He was predeceased by his parents.
