AUBURN — Marcia A. Seger, 67, a resident of Hogan Road in Lewiston, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Hospice House, with her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Calais on Nov. 1, 1950, the daughter of Arnold and Alice (Stevens) McNelly.
Marcia grew up in Auburn, and was a graduate of Edward Little High School. She married the love of her life, Wayne Seger, on June 20, 1970.
She was employed for 33 years at St. Mary’s Hospital, retiring in 2012.
Following retirement, she enjoyed the great outdoors, golfing, camping, hiking and kayaking. She also adored spending time with her grandchildren and supporting them in activities. She truly loved her entire family.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne, of Lewiston; two daughters: Marcey Crosskill and husband, Chad, of Lisbon, and Nicole Seger of Lewiston; two sisters: Priscilla Torella and husband, Arthur, of Dover, N.H., and Patricia Adams of Norway; four grandchildren: Kelsey Linnell, Austin and Makenzey Bedford and Sydney Crosskill. Also surviving are many nieces, one nephew and a sister-in-law, Monique McNelly.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, David McNelly.
Marcia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
