WATERFORD — The last Waterford Summer Breakfast will be from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Wilkins Community House at the foot of Plummer Hill Road, next to the Waterford Congregational Church.

The price is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 10, and free for children younger than 5.

The basement of the Wilkins House will be the site of an indoor yard sale from 7:30 to 11 a.m. This is the last year for the yard sale.

Proceeds from the breakfasts help with the upkeep of the Wilkins Community House. Income from the yard sales goes to the maintenance funds for the Wilkins Community House and the Waterford Congregational Church.

NORWAY — The Second Congregational Church serves its free monthly supper from 5 to 6 p.m. on the third Friday of the month at 205 Main St.

HARRISON — Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church will serve its Famous Chicken Pie Supper Saturday, Aug. 18, on Bolsters Mills Road. 

Seatings will be at 5 and 6 p.m. with a third seating to follow if necessary. 

Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12. The church is handicapped-accessible and air-conditioned. 

Reservations will be accepted on Saturday between 9 a.m. and noon by calling 207-583-9024.

Future suppers will be Sept. 15 and Oct. 20.

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will serve a beanhole beans benefit supper for Lori Hand at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at 50 Main St., Route 219.

Hand recently lost her partner, George Affleck. Together they operated Keep the Faith Farm on Labrador Pond Road. Affleck was also a teacher in the RSU 10 school system.

DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will sell lobster rolls and chicken rolls at the market day celebration starting at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, on Main Street across from the Dixfield Town Office

Cost will be $9 for lobster rolls or $7 for chicken rolls. Some seating will be available.
