FARMINGTON — The Blue Crew Robotics team from Mt. Blue High School held a fundraising Cubing event Sunday at the school.

The Cubing event was an official sanctioned event of the World Cubing Association. It was the only Cubing event in the United States held last weekend.

Chandler Pike of Mt. Blue finished third in the 3x3x3 one-handed solves with an average time of 19.99 seconds.

Roger Lightbody III of Madison won most of the events. His average for regular 3x3x3 during round one of qualifications was 7.77 seconds!

Competitors came from all over New England and the Northeast. One person was from Dublin, Ireland.

Pike and Josh Blackman of Rockland coordinated the event.

Following the competition, Blue Crew sold root beer floats, hot dogs and baked goods at the Wilton Blueberry Festival Fireworks.
