During the last rain storm, a large branch broke on the large tree on my lawn. The branch did not break off completely, but it hung over the road. My neighbor tried to pull it off but it would not budge. He told me that since it hung over the street, the city was responsible for removing it.
This morning at 8 a.m. I called the Auburn Public Works Dept. The lady that answered was so polite — said she would send someone over. At 9:30 a.m. I saw three orange traffic cones on the street. At 11 a.m. three men came with a bucket truck and a shredder truck. They not only removed that branch but also a branch above that one. What a sight to watch — they were so polite, worked as a team and then cleaned and swept up everything. And it was all done in a half hour. Such good workers!
My tax money was well spent, and I am so appreciative of the efficient and good work they did. We can be proud of our Arbor Department.
