SOUTH PARIS — Patricia A. Bean, 82, passed from this life after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She died Thursday, Aug. 2, at her home in South Paris, with family by her side.
She was the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude Coffin, born in Bryant Pond and graduated from Woodstock High School in 1954. She married Herman Paul Bean on April 16, 1955, and just celebrated 63 years together. They made their home on the Christian Ridge Road in 1962, and raised six children. Patricia was employed the majority of her life in Bridgton at the knitting mill. Upon retirement, she wintered in Florida with her husband.
She is survived by her husband, H. Paul Bean, South Paris; son Timothy and wife, Linda, South Paris; daughter Rhonda Bottomly, Zepher Hills, Fla.; son Stephen Bean and fiancée, Patty Plummer, Bryant Pond; son Andrew Bean, South Paris; daughter Lavinia Puckett and partner, James Farrah,, South Paris; and daughter Kimberly Bean and partner, Rod Westleigh, West Paris. Patricia is also survived by two brothers: Fred Coffin and Laurence Coffin and his wife, Connie; she has 15 grandchildren and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by both parents, by brothers Robert and Arthur Coffin and by sister, Joann Davis.
