PORTLAND — Sandra Louise Bernier, 79, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Seaside Assisted Living in Portland. She was born in Livermore Falls on Aug. 8, 1938, a daughter of the late Richard and Jeanette (Sawtell) Chase.
Sandra graduated from Brockton High School in Massachusetts in 1956. In 1976, she married the love of her life, Edward Bernier, and they shared a loving marriage of more than 22 years, until his passing in 1998. Sandra retired from NEV Industrial Services as a supervisor for handicapped adults. Some of her hobbies included fishing, gardening, bird watching and especially woodcarving.
Sandra is survived by her six children: Bruce Moore of Massachusetts, Mark Moore of Rumford, Terry Vining of Cumberland, Cindy Flick of Florida, Jamie Moore of Florida, and Barry Moore of Rumford; her sister, Jean Bousquette, of New Hampshire; her two brothers Gary Bousquette and Michael Bousquette, both of Massachusetts; her 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her three sons: George Moore IV, Alan Moore and Andrew Moore; her sisters Sally Chase and Simone Bousquette; and her brother, Richard (Fred) Chase.
