LIVERMORE FALLS — Janet T. Rose, 92, a lifelong resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Alfred B. Tardy and Theo (Bailey) Tardy.
Janet was a 1944 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and received her associate’s degree from Auburn School of Commerce. On Nov. 8, 1946, in Livermore Falls, she married Erlon B. Rose. They enjoyed 70 years together, before he passed away Aug. 19, 2017.
Janet worked in the clerical department for Central Maine Power in Livermore Falls, and later worked as a bookkeeper for Livermore Falls Advertiser until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Livermore Falls, the Rebekah’s and the Frank L. Mitchell V.F.W. Post 3335 Ladies Auxiliary. Janet enjoyed spending time with her family and at their camp on Long Pond.
She is survived by her children: two sons Stacey Rose and his wife, Crystal, of Fayette, and Randall Rose of Jay; her daughter, Jill Christian, and her husband, Scott “Chris,” of Alaska; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hatfield, and her husband, Steven, of Phillips; eight grandchildren: Jeremy, Erica, Brittany, Alex, Devin, Cameron, Ty and Jayme; and five great-grandchildren: Hailey, Abby, Ella, Abel and Revvi.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Erlon; her son, Jeffrey Rose; and her brother, Richard Tardy.
