JAY — Drivers from Auburn and Farmington were injured Tuesday morning when their vehicles collided at Routes 133 and 156, at Bean’s Corner.
Scott Moore, 50, of Auburn was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu east on Depot Street, which is Route 156, and did not see a stop sign, Jay Police Officer David Morin said.
Moore went through the intersection and collided with a 2011 Jeep Cherokee being driven north on Route 133 by Russell Bailey, 31, of Farmington, Morin said.
Bailey sustained scrapes on his left arm, and Moore complained of numbness to right arm, Morin said. Both were treated by NorthStar EMS ambulance personnel and released at the scene.
Morin said he issued Moore a summons for failing to stop at a stop sign.
Both vehicles were badly damaged, he said.
Jay Fire Rescue Department helped clean up leaking fluids and control traffic.
The accident was reported at 10:11 a.m.
