PORTLAND — Lorraine G. Dionne, 88, formerly of 77 Birch St., died Wednesday, July 25, at the Fallbrook Woods Resident Care with her family by her side.
She was born in Auburn on Nov. 28, 1929, the daughter of Eugene and Ida Blais Dionne. She was educated in Lewiston schools and worked at Clark Shoe for 22 years, Arrow-Hart Mfg. for 10 years and St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in housekeeping until her retirement.
Miss Dionne was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. She was a person of great faith and lived her life serving others. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, and going on long walks.
She will be remembered for her Lamey Wellehan Shoe Clubs, baking breads for family and friends, her kind, loving heart, and for always taking care of and helping anyone who needed her.
Survivors include her sister, Pauline Collet, of Lewiston, and many nieces and nephews who were very dear to her. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Ella Martel and Rita Robert and her brother, Roland Dionne.
