BRANFORD, Conn. — Yvette T. LaChance Maillet, 88, of Stratford, Conn., beloved wife of the late Laurier Maillet, passed away Tuesday, July 17, in Connecticut Hospice Branford.
Yvette, a homemaker, was born in Lewiston on May 14, 1930, to the late Joseph and Clementine (LaRoche) LaChance and has been a longtime area resident. She was an active parishioner and volunteer at St. James Church, and was also a member of the Baldwin Center Cares Program.
Survivors include her devoted children: Michael Maillet and his wife, Kathy, of Shelton, Arlene Townson and her husband, David, of Monroe and Nancy Hwang and her husband, Nelson, of Guilford; her cherished grandchildren Lindsey, Benjamin, Sarah, Olivia and Matthew; brother, Ralph LaChance; sister-in-law, Therese Maillet; brother-in-law, Lionel Maillet; cousin, Arlette Magee; several nieces and nephews; and her good friends and neighbors, who were like family, Marianne and Rafael Garcia and their children, Christopher and Kevin.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Yvette was predeceased by her son, Daniel Maillet; and brother, Bob LaChance.
