AUBURN — Jennifer McGaughey, 61, passed away peacefully at her Auburn home Wednesday morning, July 18, following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born Dec. 19, 1956, in Canton, Ohio, to the late James and Betty (Criswell) Cowgill. Previously living in Philadelphia for 30 years, she moved to Maine in 2012.

Jennifer had years of success in print and radio advertising sales and management and most recently as a real estate agent for Fontaine Family Realty.

She will best be remembered for her devotion to her family, her ability to bring joy and to make people feel special and her strong Christian faith. She had a deep love for the Lord with a passion to serve others and to serve in her East Auburn Baptist Church. She saw the beauty in each and every day and in everyone in her life. Her creativity was expressed through the multiple crafts she mastered.

She is survived by her loving husband, Blair, of Auburn, her six children, Joel (Laura) Gamble of Telford, Pa., Lindsey (Aaron) Buckton of Snoqualmie, Wash., Nicholas Gamble of Philadelphia, Julia Corrigan of Pittsburgh, Pa., Aurelie (Stephen) Baradic of Columbia, Md., and Kieran Corrigan of Baltimore; four stepchildren: Erin, Mollie, Abbey & Caroline McGaughey, all of Ohio; four grandchildren. Her siblings include John (Kathy) Cowgill of Canton, Ohio, Liz (Glenn) Gillette of Pittsburgh, Melissa (Roy) McGaughey and Christine (Mark) Ostapak, both of Massillon, Ohio.
