NEW GLOUCESTER — LeRoy E. Farrington went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 16, with family by his side. He was born to LeRoy G. and Stella Farrington on Sept. 25, 1927.
Roy attended West Grammar School and Portland High School, and served his country in Korea in the late 1940s. He was employed for Sealtest Ice Cream (Breyers) for many years, until it left the state. In 1964, he went to work at Pineland Center as a plumber. He retired in 1987, after which he started his own business.
Roy is predeceased by his daughter, Kathy Lee Farrington; his sister, Zola Farrington Boyd; and brother, Richard Farrington.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Harriet Warren Farrington; two daughters: Debbie (Gene) St. Clair and Bobbi (Richard) Mason; one son, Fred (Jackie) Farrington; six grandchildren: Michael (Kim) St. Clair, Melissa (Donald) Oldakowski, Matthew Farrington, Bethany Mason, Jeremy (Rebekah) Mason and Abbey Farrington; and six great-grandchildren: Christopher (Megan), Brandon LaPointe, Andrew and Zachary St. Clair, Lilly Rose Steele and Kastle Oldakowski. Roy’s first great-great-grandchild is due in the spring.
