RUMFORD — Tom Judge, executive director of LifeFlight of Maine, addressed the June 18 meeting of the River Valley Rotary Club at HOPE Association.
Judge, of Port Clyde, said 2,400 patients have been served this year. The helicopter team includes a pilot, a nurse and paramedics. A team of eight mechanics check the helicopters daily.
Flights from Lewiston to Rumford take 11 minutes and from Bangor to northern Maine, 80 to 90 minutes.
The club presented the organization with a $400 donation.
