Androscoggin Bank’s MainStreet Foundation, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is accepting applications for its largest award, the annual $25K for Kids grant.
The grant, designed to improve the lives of as many kids as possible, is awarded annually to a nonprofit organization that not only benefits at-risk youth in Maine, but focuses on the “essentials” of life – food, shelter and security.
Qualifying nonprofits are invited to submit an application before July 31. Guidelines and criteria can be found online. Applications will be reviewed in August and the top three finalists will be invited to present in person in October. The winner and runners-up for the $25k for Kids award will be announced in November at the annual meeting of the MainStreet Foundation.
Past recipients of the grant include St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, The Preble Street Teen Center, Longley Elementary School, Androscoggin Children’s Advocacy Center, and the Good Shepherd Food Bank.
