LEWISTON — The art deco-style building at the corner of Main and Park streets has sold for $675,000 to an unnamed buyer.

The 9,540-square-foot building at 177 Main St. is home to four businesses: Goulet and Associates real estate appraisal on the second floor, and Heritage Collectibles, Community Dental and a vape shop on the ground floor.

Marc Goulet’s business Sa-So has owned the building since 2001. He sold it to a company called NB 177 in a deal that closed June 14. Both parties were represented by Kevin Fletcher of Northeast Commercial Brokers at Keller Williams Realty. 

Fletcher declined to name the buyer, but said the person was attracted to the building’s tenant mix, its cash flow and its architecture. The building’s design features traditional art-deco details, such as zigzag bands and sunbursts.

Before Goulet bought it, the building housed a law firm. According to Fletcher, Goulet rebuilt the first floor, removed the hallway paneling, repointed the brick exterior and replaced the windows and roof. He also installed parabolic lighting and new ceiling tiles.

Fletcher said the new owner bought the building as an investment. Fletcher was not aware of any plans for changes.
