SUMNER — The West Sumner Universalist Society will hold its first summer service July 8 with Marilyn Hammond.
The church is on Main Street, about half a mile from Pleasant Pond.
A christening service will be held July 29 by Rev. Scott Jones.
The seventh annual “Whatever Sale” for the benefit of the church will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25. There will be a ticket auction with the drawing at 1:30 p.m. Donations for the auction, especially themed baskets in memory of loved ones, are appreciated. There will be food and bake sales, cutlery sales and a lunch. Anyone wishing to cook their favorite recipe will be welcomed.

July 29 — Rev. Scott Jones;
Aug. 5 — Rev. Bernice Martin;
Aug. 12 — Rodney Abbott;
Aug. 19 — Rev. Fayre Stevenson; and
Aug. 26 — Cindy Reedy.
All services begin at 11 a.m. and are followed by a coffee hour. Beth Chaffee will be the organist. Everyone is welcome to attend.
