SABATTUS — Katrina Rae Cyr of Sabattus passed away peacefully at home Thursday, June 21. Katrina was born in Augusta on Dec 11, 1975, to Anthony Handley and late Terri Reynolds-Stratton. Her first love of her life was her son, Joseph, known by many as JR, then she met Jason Hannigan who became her second love of her life. Katrina always had a wonderful laughter and had a very infectious smile that will be missed by all. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals her dogs: Dixie, Lizzy, Miley but especially her recently adopted pup, Pumpkin, and their cat, Daisy.

Katrina had a great passion for motorcycles and belonged to Patriot Riders of America-Maine Chapter Two. She was a true Patriot Rider to the core. Dedicated to their mission 110 percent. She didn’t ride … yet … she was going for her bike license this weekend with the love of her life, Jason. Her love for motorcycles is shared with her beloved son, JR.

She loved camping with her camping crew in Abbott, Maine, and loved her family and friends.

Katrina loved to do paint night, and was involved in numerous fundraisers with the Patriot Riders of America-Maine for Veterans and fundraiser walks. She was very much involved with community events in helping others.

She was predeceased by her mother, Terri Reynolds-Stratton. Survivors include her son Joseph (JR); her loving companion, Jason Hannigan; Dominic Cyr and his parents Barbie & Patrick Cyr; Mike Hannigan; his friend Linda Hooker; her father, Anthony Handley; siblings: Tony Paradie, Bobby Aube, Lynn Meader, Tina Handley, Christopher Handley, Jamie Hoyt, Lisa (Meader) Brown and Shirley (Meader) Lane.
