LIVERMORE — A strawberry festival with a craft fair and local history will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center.

The biennial event will feature artisans on the front lawn demonstrating handmade crafts and selling original artwork. Other activities include horse-drawn hayrides, tours of the 1867 Washburn family mansion, blacksmithing demonstrations and lessons of the past in the one-room schoolhouse.

Strawberry shortcake with homemade biscuits, local strawberries and real whipped cream will be on sale for $4 each. Proceeds will benefit the Norlands.

The Jay-Livermore Falls Lions Club will sell hamburgers and hot dogs, or people can bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the grounds.

General admission is $10; ages 12 and under, $6; family rate for two adults with up to three children under age 18, $25. Children age 5 and younger are admitted free. Members of Norlands enjoy a 20 percent discount on admission.
