RUMFORD — Voters in the seven towns of Regional School Unit 10 approved a $26.48 million budget Tuesday.
The tallies were: Buckfield, 247-151; Hanover, 55-13; Hartford, 134-52; Mexico, 319-157; Roxbury, 47-33; Sumner, 110-73; and Rumford, 860-431.
The budget represents a districtwide tax increase of 3.43 percent.
Chad Culleton of Hartford was elected to a three-year term on the school board over incumbent Richard Dyer by a vote of 87-84.
Abbey Rice of Rumford won a three-year term with 100 votes to Eric Giroux’s 62.
For the one-year term, she won with 38 votes to Greg Buccina’s 35.
Rice chose to take the three-year term.
Selectmen will appoint someone to the one-year term, according to Maine law.
A three-year seat for a Mexico board member was not filled by voters Tuesday. Four write-in candidates were notified to see who would accept the position, according to town officials.
